The number of cosmetic products available on the market is constantly growing, and there is no denying that we often do not know ourselves which face creams are the best for us, or whether some new active ingredient will not appear on the market and make the substances we use now a thing of the past. Or maybe some “foreign scientists” will discover yet again that a long forgotten ingredient has, after all, properties that will nurture your skin. Is it necessary to use a cream purposefully developed for dry skin, or can one simply use a general-purpose regenerating cream?

The most important thing in skin care is the awareness of what we really need, what our ideal anti-wrinkle cream should really be like. The age, dryness or greasiness of the skin, its susceptibility to allergies, a possible hypersensitivity to external factors – all this is of great importance to which anti-wrinkle cream will provide the best care.

But let us start with what matters the most:

The biological age of the skin. It is determined on the basis of the condition of the skin – its level of hydration, firmness, the depth of lines and wrinkles, the presence of spots, the activity level of sebaceous glands. Leading a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a balanced diet (this does not apply to persons participating in sports) may result in the biological age of the skin becoming even lower than the actual age. The age of the skin can be checked in any beauty salon. By having it determined, we can know which substances, produced by hormones, we are starting to be missing, and which must be replenished, or stimulated to regenerate.

When creating our EXCLUSIVE COSMETICS Anti-aging creams, we developed separate cream formulas in correspondence to the differences in the biological age of the skin, that is, according to what the skin really needs, what substances have become scarce, which are no longer produced and must be supplemented, to restore youthful appearance and give the skin appropriate firmness. This division of formulas has been based on 5-year intervals – due to this our formulations target specific, crucial problem areas, stimulate skin renewal, and at the same time address the deficiencies of such active substances as retinol, collagen, or coenzyme Q10.

Maintaining adequate hydration – a very important aspect of daily skin care. Oily skin, mixed skin, dry skin – it does not matter. The important thing is whether the skin is well hydrated – any kind of skin requires that. This decides on whether the skin will be able to regenerate itself, and whether it will be well nourished, with appropriate ingredients and active substances. An Intensively moisturizing face cream should be based on a formula rich in high levels of active ingredients. For example, the EXCLUSIVE COSMETICS Creams with argan oil have been developed for all skin types. They properly moisturize the skin, while not overburdening the complexion, and thus they provide the ingredients needed for stimulating the skin that is 30-years of age or older. They suit all types of skin.

A proper selection in accordance with age. It often happens that, in their choice of creams, young women emulate their mothers. But potent anti-aging creams (like those containing collagen) have a completely different composition from that of moisturizing creams. This fact follows from the entirely different needs of skin in different biological ages. Young skin is often unnecessarily burdened with filling ingredients, which it really does not need yet, while it is not being sufficiently hydrated.

Skin regeneration. The pace of skin regeneration varies with age. The composition of anti-wrinkle creams should therefore be different for different age groups. Not everyone knows that the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid, as well as of coenzyme Q10, by the skin diminishes with age. Already at the age of 45 – 50, skin care habits should be changed, and the cream of choice should now be the one that fills in the deficiencies, while at the same time being able to stimulate the production by the skin of other, equally important, substances. An example of such a cream is the EXCLUSIVE COSMETICS anti-aging cream with coenzyme Q10, for persons aged 45-50. It is at this age that the coenzyme Q10 in the skin starts to disappear, because of its production being on a decline. It is therefore important to supplement those deficiencies, and to stimulate the skin to increase production. On the other hand, the needs of the young skin will be quite different, since it is able to produce coenzyme Q10 in sufficient amounts, but, for example, it is exposed to external factors that cause skin dryness.

The knowledge of above fundamental issues forms the basis of good facial care. It is worthwhile to get to know the needs of your skin before buying a cream, often quite expensive, the formula of which might turn out to be improperly matched to your skin.
